The LSRA [Land Sea Rail and Air ] Universal carrier spec
The Hitchlugger universal carrier is manufactured in the UK. It is fabricated in steel and finished in powder coating [options in finish available]. Main features are:
â¢Fully self adjusting rear slider
â¢Rear swivel clamp allowing easy fit under classic type mudguards and Scooters
â¢Adjustable front heel for tyre/wheel size from 10 inch upwards
â¢Adjustable top front clamp ,between posts, allowing secure fit from 10 inch wheel size upwards.
â¢Heavy duty welded frame [ approx 43 kilos]
â¢Dimensions: L 23500 mm [8 ft] W 600 mm [2 ft]
â¢Additional welded in pad eyes should extra lashing be needed for tall and top heavy touring bikes.
â¢Heavy duty pad eyes welded to front of frame for easy securing

The same specification as the LSRA model above but with a pin adjustment to the front heel, powder coated finish, can be galvanised if required.

Made in the UK. Fabricated in steel as the universal system, finished in powder coating. Main features are:
â¢Heavy duty welded construction [approx 14 kilos]
â¢Adjustable heel for wheel size from 10 inch upwards

25.03.2009 New frame to be launched soon
All Hitchlugger products have been upgraded during the winter months and are now being readied for general release.
Based on very close liaison with Speedferries, we were able to develop improvements to the original adjustable carrier while in use on board ship. The knowledge gained was invaluable, the large variations of machines carried by Speedferries allowed us to incorporate many new features in our carrier, coupled with customer feedback we have now produced what we consider the ultimate safe method of motorcycle transportation. Two universal systems will be available.
The Trapper system, which formed the basis of our products many years ago has also been upgraded. It secures the front wheel into the trapper frame, it can be fixed to any flat surface and will hold any machine from Scooters with 10 inch wheels to big cruisers.

The retail price is now published on the product page and is VAT free.
The updated universal carrier has attracted interest from yet another cross-channel company who, like 'Speedferries', put their bike transportation first!
